of code in my apps the structure of this video is going to be very simple I'm going to break down exactly how you start from scratch all the way to scaling your mobile up in four simple Steps step number one is going to be ideation how do you come up with an app idea and how do you validate that idea so you're confident in the business model itself step number two is going to be building how do you get the designs done how do you get the development done all without writing a single line of code step number three is going to be marketing once your app is built how can you effectively Market that app while also spending Z you can do this through organic content and later we’re going to show you how to take that organic content and scale it on paid ads profitably so if you stick around I guarantee that you will have the skills and the knowledge to bring your mobile app idea to life and start generating recurring Revenue every single day lock in get rid of all the distractions throw this up on the TV if you have to get your pen and paper out and start taking notes because I’m going to drop everything that I know about building scaling and exiting mobile apps in this video Let’s jump into it I’m going to break this down into a simple four-step process that literally anyone can follow it starts off with where to start and then we’re going to show you how to validate the ideas then we’re going to go over the marketing mindset this is crucial when you’re coming up with app ideas to have a marketing mindset and then finally how feasible is this idea once you kind of have an idea how feasible is it to actually build this idea into a mobile app is it going to take you a lot of time is it going to take you a lot of investment this is crucial to know before you start so that being said let’s jump into where we start how do you find a mobile app idea how do I come up with app ideas and how do I know they’re going to be good what I do is I analyze ize my daytoday life I’ve gotten into the habit of writing down problems that I encounter daytoday in my everyday life I write them down in the notes app on my phone and this is how I came up with the idea for puff count I had a problem vaping I ran into that problem in college a lot of my friends had that problem vaping was a problem that a lot of people were dealing with and I knew that it was a trending problem right because vaping was going viral on social media all the time I always saw Tik toks about vaping how bad it was it was in the news all the time so it was a problem it was trending it was viral and I knew it marketable so I knew it was a fantastic idea so ask yourself that question what problems do you and your friends or your family run into on a day-to-day basis right start writing down these ideas and then once you have them all in your notes if there is one idea that you cannot go to sleep or wake up without thinking about pursue that idea trust your intuition that is exactly what I did and if you’re solving a problem for yourself other people more than likely also have that problem and if you’re not so good at coming up with ideas you can always you know look to social media and see what is trending are there any other problems that people are dealing that are trending on social media ask around and and browse social media and then another way to find app ideas is to go to app marketplaces and see what people are already having success with let’s jump in to flipa and acquire now these are marketplaces where people are selling their mobile apps right and we can use these marketplaces to understand what mobile apps are making a ton of money this is a great place to do market research because these apps are successful and we can use these to kind of generate ideas for for our mobile apps we’ll start off on flipo we can go to iOS apps here here and then what we can do is filter by most profitable right and then what that’s going to do is it is going to show us the most profitable mobile apps in here you’ll see a lot of these are super confidential cuz obviously they don’t want you to know that they’re making so much money this is why this is such a cheat code these apps are literally showing you exactly how much money they’re making so this is a gold mine for finding app ideas so boom we have this app uh this app is doing 4,000everysinglemonthitsfootballbettingtipsgreatideaifyoureintobettingrightAIchathereitsdoing4,000 every single month it's football betting tips great idea if you're into betting right AI chat here it's doing111,000 per month Wordle is just doing 10K uh per month that’s a funny one uh we have a browser here AI chatbot just explore this go through the apps here see how much they’re making obviously filter by most profitable because those are the ones we want to go after we want to come up with an app ID that has potential to make profit and these are all making great profit same thing on acquire right what we can do is we can go on ac.com we can search the marketplace for mobile apps and then what we can do is sort by annual revenue high to low annual profit high to low whatever floats your boat and these apps are doing an insane amount of Revenue million this mobile app is doing right it's a digital Bank obviously this idea is a little bit complex but you know you get the you get the idea we can scroll through here um and we can figure out which apps are making a ton of money this app revolutionizes the way people commute good idea uh remote control uh for TVs that's that's insane that's a pretty uh ingenious idea AI image generating mobile app you can scroll through these these marketplaces understand which apps are the most profitable and this could spark some ideas for you so once you have this idea for your mobile app what we can do is then validate that idea and we can validate that idea by doing market research understanding if it's going viral on social media looking at sensor Tower and checking the apps earnings and we can also look at things like Google Trends to understand if the organic interest for these products is going up because that's what we want we want to buy a product that is trending upwards in terms of people being interested in it right we don't want to buy a dying product so with that being said we can jump over to sensor Tower here sensor Tower is a phenomenal tool that will show you exactly how much each app is making right so you can you can kind of search for app Publishers here you can kind of look around so for example you know this fitness app is doing4 million a month this is probably a really good idea I would study this app and you know kind of check it out see what they’re doing uh to make this amount of money we have shy sleep tracker that’s doing 2 mil a month me plus daily routine planner is doing 800k a month um you know you can check out sensor Tow and understand which apps are making the most money another beautiful way to validate your ideas is to look at the Google Trends so for example you know my quit vaping app as you can see the trend is just straight up and to the right so you know that the organic interest for this idea generally worldwide and this is from 2004 to present generally the worldwide interest around quitting vaping as a problem as a product is extremely popular use all these to validate your ideas use sensor Tower use flipa use acire use all the tools at your disposal and again all these are free tools you can do this for absolutely zero you can validate your idea and be more confident that this idea is going to be popular and it’s worth investing vesting your time into building a mobile app okay next and probably the most important step and stick with me I know this has taken a little bit but I promise by the end of it this will all make sense and you will know exactly whether to pursue your idea or not you’ll know what ideas to look for next is very crucial it is starting with a marketing mindset this is probably the sole reason that I was successful with puff count because I knew that my product was going to be marketable and it’s very important that your product is marketable how are people going to find your product I knew that I could post on Tik Tok and with a marketable product the crazy thing is even if your app isn’t that good but you can still Market hundreds of thousands if not millions of people to the app you will make money and on the flip side if your product is amazing let’s say you spent 10 years developing a mobile app right but you have no idea how to Market it it doesn’t matter your idea is worth absolutely nothing marketing is so crucial when thinking about your mobile app idea so I’m going to show you exactly how I was able to understand that my product would be marketable before I even started building before I invested a single second before I invested a single dollar into my product I did market research on social media and figured out that quitting vaping was a massive issue and I knew I could Market it right so what I did was very simple I went on Tik Tok on my phone I typed in in the search bar quit vaping or quit nicotine or side effects of vaping whatever it was this took me like 10 minutes right I put the Tik Tok links into a Google Excel sheet and then I wrote down how many views each one of these had 1.5 million views 900,000 views 3.9 million views all organic 0werespentonthesevideosrightsoIknewthisisamarketableproductthisonehad20millionviewsletstakealookatitquittingvapinglikejustlookathowsimpleanyonecanmakethisvideoanyonecanmakethisvideoandIdidmakethisvideoImgoingtoshowyourightnowsohereitis2.6millionviewsthisvideohasthatsmeincaseyoucantrecognizemerightbut139,000likesthisonevideodrovecountlessamountofdownloadstotomymobileappagainyouknowIknewthatIwouldbeabletodothisbeforeIevenstartedbuildingmyproductitjustgavemealltheconfidenceintheworldtobeabletobuildthequitvapingmobileappthatisnowmakingme0 were spent on these videos right so I knew this is a marketable product this one had 20 million views let's take a look at it quitting vaping like just look at how simple anyone can make this video anyone can make this video and I did make this video I'm going to show you right now so here it is 2.6 million views this video has that's me in case you can't recognize me right but 139,000 likes this one video drove countless amount of downloads to to my mobile app again you know I knew that I would be able to do this before I even started building my product it just gave me all the confidence in the world to be able to build the quit vaping mobile app that is now making me30,000 and you know I did this a lot I did a bunch of market research on Tik Tok and you should do this as well before you start building your product and the final step to finding and validating your mobile app idea is to run through kind of this process in your brain is this a feasible idea I knew that for my app quit vaping app it would be a feasible idea because I was just building a simple little tracker that allows people to track how many puffs they take every single day and reduce their usage over time so I knew that getting to an MVP a minimum viable product would be very simple because the app idea itself the core feature of the app was fairly straightforward and then you know you can do all the planning and all the thinking in the world but at the end of the day you just need to go for it right like I said at the beginning of the video if there’s an idea that you cannot stop thinking about that you can’t go to sleep or wake up without thinking about that you know what help people or solve a big problem for people just go for it and at the end of the day like I didn’t know for sure 100% % that my idea would be good I ran through this entire process and I had a pretty good idea that my app would be successful but at the end of the day like I just went for it and I adapted and I overcame the challenges um that were in my way right and I just kept working at it I didn’t give up for the first three months of my product being out there I didn’t get much traction only when I started to really pick up on Tik Tok um and get my product out there did I you know find success with puff count this is kind of my strategy for initially getting my idea down on paper and kind of thinking about exactly what I want to do so this is exactly what I did I brain dumped everything right we have macr tracker up here this is you know the idea that I have for the app I have the competitors that I just mentioned right here I have ideas for the features that I want to I want to use have all the pages all the ideas that I have for the app I’ve brain dumped everything here I’ve explained kind of what each page is going to do and this will set you up perfectly because you’re going to have a singular place where you have all of your ideas on paper and this will help you really kind of wrap your mind around your app idea brain dumping everything and then once you’re confident in your idea you’re confident that your idea solves a problem you’re confident that this is a valuable idea to people and you’ve brain dumped everything you know how it’s going to look you can start to design the app in your mind you can develop the app in your mind how exactly do you imagine that this app is going to work you know once it’s brought to life once it’s brought to life on your phone right in doing this you can build out a wireframe you can sketch out wireframe and I’ll kind of show you the wireframe now that I have built for my new app the macro tracking app and it’s literally simply a sketch of exactly how I think the app should look right so I’m drawing out exactly how I think the app should look and kind of the main screens within the app and this is all you need to get started developing the UI and once you have this sketch done what you can do is you can upload it to a site called 99 designs I highly recommend this site when you are building the UI for your mobile app because again you can take your entire sheet that you’ve brain dumped here and you can upload it to 99 designs and what 99 designs is is it’s a contest platform so you can upload your sketch of your app and you can start a contest and you will get hundreds of designers all submitting their idea of what your app should look like for example I have 86 different designers who have all submitted their designs and this is the best way to go about UI design because you get so many different options of you know what your app would look like that it’s easier for you to choose for example like if you had only seen one girl your entire life you you you know you might be like okay you know I like her I’m going to marry her but that’s the only girl you’ve ever seen imagine if you had 10 girls in front of you and then also that girl was there you might be like oh wait she was cute but like this one’s cute you know what I mean like that type of thing so you don’t know kind of what design you want to go with unless you’ve seen a ton so this is why I recommend doing 99 designs doing a contest instead of just working with one designer I think it’s more effective and I’m going to show you in a second here the design that I’m going with and the design that I think is the absolute best out of this but to give you a better understanding I’ll I’ll kind of walk through the brief here it’s essentially everything that we did on our brain dump word doc here we’re going to do the exact same thing on 99 designs so you can upload your own brief you can kind of name your app describe it a little bit you can break down you know the screens and the workflows of your app and then what you can do is you can upload your sketches so the sketches that I just showed you I uploaded to 99 designs and I said hey designers here are my sketches this is what I want the app to look like and then boom they bring the sketches and they bring your brain dump to life in the form of a beautiful beautiful UI and I will show you the winner here this is the winner by far to me right super clean you know the designer left a comment here it’s super simple it’s playful uh and it looks gamified kind of like dual lingo I love this design without you know this contest there’s no way I would have gotten this design and you know we can check out another one real quick here this one doesn’t even come close right like this doesn’t even come close or compare to this one so getting a ton of designs like this will help you understand what you want faster and it’ll help you get to your most optimal design faster this contest I am currently running there’s about 18 hours left so I will be choosing the winner which is this guy right here and then he will send me either a Photoshop file or a figma file that I will then be able to take to the developer and bring this UI bring this design bring this image to life and make it a real functioning mobile app on my phone I’m telling you guys it is so easy stick with me throughout this because this is how I built mobile apps time and time again this is how I make money with mobile apps and it really is simpler than people think so in the next step we are going to work on the actual development so stick around until the end quick I have to tell you how insane doing this contest system with 99 designs is you could have one designer and pay them the same price that I’m paying right now for a contest or you can start a contest for a couple hundred bucks and you get designs from 60 70 80 different designers this is a no-brainer I’m telling you you will after you use this website and use this contest software you will never get a design built another way again like this is the way to go I highly recommend 99 designs all right guys it’s been a little while and we have kind of our final designs right here as you can see I got rid of a bunch of the other designs I declined them all and I picked kind of the best five here and stick with me I know this is taking a little bit but the UI and the design of your app is one of the most important parts of your app it’s going to help your marketing it’s going to help your help your use your experience it will make you more money if your app looks good so please stick with me throughout the rest of this and then after this we’re going to get to the fun part we’re going to get to the marketing The Profit the development all that so I picked these kind of five just so I could like learn learn from the other designs what I like a bunch and the beautiful thing about this is like this design right here is clearly the winner for me but there are specific things that I like about these other designs that I can learn from right like for this one I kind of like this layout of the main monitor right here more than I like this right and for this one I like the way that you know the voice recording thing is just a popup and I like how they have you know the name right here up top so all of these small little things I’m going to take note of and then I’m going to tell this designer to implement those changes so without further Ado let’s confirm him as a finalist boom let’s go he is now in the final round and there’s 5 days for this designer I will talk with him we’ll go back and forth and then we’ll finalize the design and then he’ll send me the finalized design files on Photoshop or figma and then I can take these bring them to the the development team and mobile app developer needed to build AI macr tracking mobile app for iOS Android and so this is our job title right developer needed to build AI macr iosandroid next we're going to go to skills iOS uh mobile app development Android app development react native is the coding language and the rest of this really doesn't matter right next our scope we're going to do medium this is a medium-term thing it's going to take us one to three months probably a little bit less honestly depending on the complexity of your app right and we're always looking for an expert we're never looking for an entry-level person that's just that doesn't exist in what we're doing right here so we're looking for an exp expert right could this become full-time sure why not let's say that location we're going to make it worldwide and I'm going to tell you why I'm going to break this down a little bit further but there's really only one part of the world you should be hiring developers from and there's this app is intended for users trying to track their macron nutrients SLC calories and weight loss the app utilizes AI to make the user experience seamless boom five main Pages blah blah blah and then we're also going to mention we have the UI has been designed completely more details to come upon application we don't we don't really need to explain all this so we're just going to make it short and sweet this app is intended for users blah blah blah track macronutrient calories blah blah blah and then boom we're going to review the job post and we are going to post the job so one thing that you're going to want to do is set job success as 90% or up we want someone who's experienced so we want their amount earned to not be zero if someone applies to your job and we're gonna we're going to go through the applicants on this later but like if someone applies to your job and they don't have at least100 of earnings on upwork you you just don’t want to you don’t want to work with that person okay perfect amazing all right so we’re going to post our job now and our job post is live so I’ll be back when we have a couple applicants and I’ll kind of walk through exactly how we’re going to be means work with an agency get an account manager and work with developers that way but I wouldn’t recommend it this guy has into their profile you can see some of their previous projects etc etc this guy has great reviews boom boom boom all five stars you can scroll through so like this is probably the guy we're going to go with hop on a call hire a developer and then you're off to the races all right so let's quickly recap what we've done here we've come up with an idea we've validated that idea we've brain dumped everything we've gotten our UI designed and now we're hiring a developer you are now a Founder you are now an app owner this is the exact flow that I follow every single time I build a mobile app the beautiful thing is the developer will handle everything once you hire him never hire on an hourly basis always higher at a fixed price so when he finishes the entire project and the app is on the App Store there's no bugs etc etc I've tested it only then does the developer get paid and I'll remind you our budget for this project wasn't that insane you know like our project on 99 designs was you know 800 900 bucks and then this developer has just applied for the job for 30 500 you could probably do even a little bit lower if you want to wait a little bit and get a little bit less applicants in there for less than five grand we have pretty much the entire making is of a full mobile app ready to go all right so let's jump into it now this is a simple four-step process starting with Organic marketing we're going to show you how to Market your app on Tik Tok and other short form platforms Instagram Facebook and YouTube shorts we're going to teach you exactly how to make great videos that no good either right we're going to show you how to scale with paid ads and then finally at the end of all this I'm going to show you this new platform that I've been working on that will allow you to this is how you find product Market fit with your app I highly recommend that you start with Organic marketing for your app because it is the lowest cost way for you to get your app out there and get your app in front of people so for my app puff count the one I just showed you that's doing30,000 a month we have a Tik Tok account that has 120,000 followers we’ve been making content on this page for close to 2 years now as you can see we’ve developed a great formula these videos are consistently getting above 10 20,000 views some of these you know 5.1 million here 1.3 million here 7.6 million here and this may look overwhelming to you and you might be like hey I don’t even know where to start on Tik Tok I’m telling you it is so much easier than you could possibly think my entire success on Tik Tok all comes down to one thing and one thing only and that is market research I’m going to show you exactly how you can do market research how you can look up your Niche and your keywords on Tik Tok see the videos that are going the most viral in those niches within those keywords and then all you have to do is really replicate those styles to win so what you’re going to do is open your phone go to Tik Tok go to the search my Niche is quit vaping right vaping is a weird keyword on Tik Tok Tik Tok doesn’t like that keyword very much so I’m going to type in quit puff and then what I’m going to do is tap the the three dots in the top right go to filters sort by light count video category all day posted all and then hit apply and what this will do is it will show you the most liked videos within this keyword of all time so you’re going to scroll through here pick 25 to 50 videos that you like that you think you can recreate that have a ton of likes throw them into a spreadsheet and analyze these videos understand what they’re doing well in their hook how are they capturing attention in the first 3 seconds What’s the storyline how are they presenting their product with a call to action study this and then after you study the top 50 videos you’ll understand Trends and you’ll understand what what type of content goes viral within your Niche this is your market research this is exactly what I did to build my Tik Tok account to 120,000 followers 50 million views this is all I did I did market research I understood what was going viral on Tik Tok and I made more of that content for my audience for example I saw that public interviews were going extremely extremely viral on Tik Tok so that’s exactly what I did right I made public interviews for my app for my content and I started posting those there’s also simple videos you don’t have to be in public interviewing people your videos don’t have to be super complex a lot of these I just built in my apartment like for example this video I found this format through exactly what I just told you market research I saw a girl doing this quitting vaping dropping her Vape in a cup of water and I recreated the video myself and it absolutely crushed it got 21,000 views and probably a couple thousand downloads here this is where you want to start in marketing your mobile app you might not go viral right off the bat but you got to be posting consistently making content every single day I committed to posting at least one video every single day on Tik Tok that’s how I found my audience that’s how I found my format that’s how I found my winning creatives that I then later scaled on paid advertising very last thing I want to say about Tik Tok and I want to emphasize this is do not be afraid as a Founder to start doing the marketing yourself I know you know a lot of people come to me and tell me I don’t ever want to do Tik Tok I can’t do it I’m knock get in front of camera I promise just trust me follow the market research that you have done around your brand and start making content it doesn’t have to be super complex you know highly producted content you can just make it in your apartment that’s what I did for a ton of my videos in organizing your Tik Tok videos in every video that you post you should have a strong hook a strong storyline or a problem and then present your product as a solution at the end of it and I’m going to go break down a couple videos that I did uh showing exactly that and showing videos that I I literally made in my apartment in 2 minutes but I followed this formula of hook problem storyline and call to action and they generated so many downloads for my app so let’s jump into it I’ll show you a couple right now a couple super easy videos that didn’t take me very long at all to make but they drove insane results to my mobile apps so for example this one I had a comment that I replied to I didn’t know this was in my puff right super simple video just taking a part a puff and then if we go to the end here I have a very quick two second call to action I’m saying this app helps you quit right super easy there’s another one down here I hopped on a trend right this video took me literally 14 seconds to make 102,000 likes this video I literally made in my apartment in less than a minute because I was following a trend on Tik Tok because I did the market research because I knew what was going viral in my Niche this video crushed for me this video has 1.5 million views another good format here is Nick myths right present a problem for people a lot of people think bapes are healthier than cigarettes they’re not right so I spit out the facts here and then at the end of it a quick two second call to action this app helps you quit boom Tik Tok is so much easier than you think don’t be afraid to put yourself out there out there don’t be afraid to take a leap and start making Tik Tok content I promise as a Founder it is one of the most valuable skills you have and even if you want to hire a Creator outside and you don’t end up wanting to do this yourself this is still something that you should know about right you don’t want to be overpaying for bad content you want to understand what content is good and how long it takes to make that content this one make you a better founder overall amazing so now you know how to Market your mobile app you know how to be on social media platforms and again you know I I mentioned Instagram reals here Facebook reals YouTube shorts you can take all your Tik Tok content download it onto your phone and just repost it on all these other platforms it is so easy to post the same short form content video everywhere so I highly recommend you do that but now let’s get into some fun things the pay wall the pay wall is crucial in your mobile app if you’re getting a ton of downloads but no one’s converting on your pay wall or no one’s paying you in your app it doesn’t matter right like downloads mean nothing we want profit before we jump into optimizing your pay wall let’s break down exactly what a pay wall is you’ve all seen these on pretty much every mobile app that you download right so this is the flow that I have for for puff count for my mobile app right we have the welcome we have the sign in here um users you know can create their profile and then we have a quick little onboarding where we we explain the main features of the app itself and then after the onboarding they are shown this pay wall which is essentially a place where we explain the value of the app and the user has a chance to opt into the free trial or for your pay wall maybe you just want them to pay a onetime fee whatever it may be this is the pay wall you’ve seen them on pretty much again every app on the App Store this is exactly what a pay wall is it’s where people pay it’s a wall on your app where people pay so with that being said let’s jump into optimizing yours I’m going to show you the most OP tool in Pay wall develop for mobile apps and that tool is called super wall and what super wall is is exactly this you can quickly build and test pay walls without pushing any updates to your app so your developer can help you with this or if you know how to do it you just put in a little piece of code into your mobile app and then boom you will be live on super wall and super wall is amazing I use it all the time here right so I’ll show you all the pay walls that I have been testing super wall allows you to AB test different pay walls and you can ab test literally everything from the text up here right you know I have different text uh for example here how much do you puff track how much you smoke track your Puffs track your usage I’m I’m a testing all this stuff I’m a testing different buttons and everything and this is how you optimize your onboarding flow into your app and what you want to do is you want to test out different prices to see which one is the most optimal for you for example I have this campaign running right now where I’m testing out the header wording and if we go to our pay walls here uh you can see I’m testing out five different pay walls 20% of the users go to each different pay wall right so it’s a it’s a true AB test here and what super wall will do is they will show you exactly which one is the winner with you know the confidence level here so this one is the 56% winner the head the header text is track how much you smoke so that one is winning by a far margin here so you know this is probably the one that I will end up using on my app fulltime I highly recommend super wall this is an amazing tool this will make your life optimizing and uh generating the most revenue from your so much easier and the last thing that I’ll say is hard pay walls are op and what a hard pay wall is there are two types of pay walls right you have a soft pay wall with a little X in the top right corner of your app right but you can also have a hard pay wall where there’s no X and users either have to pay or opt into your free trial to get to the rest of your app I’ve tried the soft pay wall I’m telling you right now the hard pay wall is the way to go and increase my conversion rate by like 30% so I would highly recommend you test out a hard pay pay wall on your app all right so now we know how to Market our mobile app we know how to make great content for our mobile app and we’ve optimized our pay wall for the most profit possible now we can get into the really fun stuff scaling with paid ads do not be intimidated by scaling with paid ads once you have great organic content on your Tik Tok on your Instagram wherever you’re posting it scaling with paid ads becomes so easy in this video I’m going to show you exactly how I’m able to spend 1onpaidadsandgetout1 on paid ads and get out3 to 4onthebackendrunningpaidadsallowedmetoscalemybusinessto4 on the back end running paid ads allowed me to scale my business to330,000 per month in recurring Revenue in the last 12 months we’ve done with our products they generate more revenue and their LTV is closer to out on the back end over uh a period of time that the customer is with me and using my product so with that being said this is truly a business that you can print money with once it's set up and I'm going to go exactly in depth on how I set this up all right so this is the exact four phase process that I use to get my SAS my mobile app business in a place where I could spend this money on ads and get a return on it right and in phase one we have the setup which is essentially setting up your product building your product phase two we have optimization AB testing absolutely everything and optimizing your user funnel to get the most money out of it phase three which is scaling your paid ads and then phase four where you analyze your paid ads and start to scale the winning campaigns please do not be intimidated by these four phases I'm going to break them down so simply for you so make sure to stick around throughout the entire video and at the end this will all come together and make sense with that being said the setup building a marketable product when I built my product my product is a quit vaping app it is called Puff count and here's the Tik Tok for it and what the app does it helps people quit vaping so I knew that this product is going to be very marketable I knew that it could go viral on social media having a marketable product is going to help your paid ads so much because your content is going to be engaging people are going to want to download it this is where you should start so again you know lock in your organic marketing I started posting on Tik Tok for my my product and as you can see we have tons of videos here most of them getting over 10,000 views so this is my creative Library I tested these on Tik Tok organic for absolutely zero this costed me absolutely nothing and as I was able to test my creatives and see which ones perform the best and I literally simply take my best performing videos like this one or this one or this one I download them and I put them on paid ads so that is the exact strategy I highly recommend that you start with Organic marketing on Tik Tok or Instagram reels or YouTube shorts whatever it may be that is how you get your start for the cheapest amount possible last thing I'll say is building a killer team I went over this in my other video again go check that out but I work with a phenomenal freelancer his name is Yori he helps me out in developing the app and fixing any bugs and optimizing you know all the test that we do with our pay wall so you know you can't do this on your own you need great people around you who are very talented and know the business just as well as you do so build a great team highly recommend hiring Freelancers on upwork all right moving on to phase two optimizing your product you already have the product built you think it's marketable you're sending traffic to your product people are using it now we need to optimize the user funnel meaning for every user I send into my product I need to at least have a chance at them generating Revenue right if users are coming to your product then they're using it and they're not spending money that's a bad thing and paid ads will never ever work for you for my app I know that for every 10 users I send into the app one of them is going to pay and that allows me to be profitable on paid ads so what we need to do to get there is we need to AB test everything we need to AB test the user onboarding we need to AB test different prices and the way that I do that on my mobile app is I use this app called super wall it's a great software where I am able to test different pay walls um in different pricings to see which one is the most optimal for my product so you see you know I'm testing five different pay walls here and it looks like uh this one is the best because the conversion rate is the highest we're still testing but you can see the earnings per user from my onboarding survey right whatever your product is whether it's a mobile app or it's an Enterprise S software it's a web software you need to be testing your user funnel how do you optimize your funnel your onboarding your survey your support how do you optimize all of that to get them to pay you at the end of the day there are essentially two ways that you can optimize your product to get users to pay you and to keep them paying you for a long period of time and those two ways are product on my right side here and then onboarding on my left so the first thing you should focus on is definitely your product you want your product to be top-notch you want the user experience to be great you want enough features to keep people interested in your products for a long period of time you want their views to be strong you want their LTV to be strong right you want people to use your product over and over and over again for a long period of time you want to have great support few bugs and even fewer crashes in your products so you want to optimize your product as far as you can first and then what you can do is optimize your onboarding because once your product is great then it's just a matter of getting as many users in as possible and getting them to pay you as fast as possible right so when optimizing your onboarding you can focus on your funnel for example here is my kind of onboarding funnel for puff count I have the welcome and sign in I have an onboarding where I explain a few features I ask them to rate and then I have a surve I ask my users key questions so that I can customize their experience when they're in the app and also adding the survey funnel allows them to spend a little bit more time on the app before they hit the the hard pay wall and they're asked to pay for the mobile app so they've already committed a little bit more time into the app before I asked them to pay which increases the conversion rate right so adding a survey is always great for your onboarding funnel it'll give you so much information about what features and what else you should be adding into your app and what you should be focusing on because users will tell you what they want and what they need in the sery onboarding also includes your marketing how strong is your marketing right like we have a great Tik Tok presence and our messaging is very strong so that is a part of optimizing the onboarding funnel and ultimately affects what the product does right and it affects how many people are willing to pay if my marketing is great my messaging is strong and I have a strong Foundation of social media then people are going to trust my product more and they're going to be more willing to pay the first experience this is crucial too it's part of your product but I'll put it in the onboarding because after the onboarding how is that user's first initial experience do they have the aha moment in the first 10 30 seconds of using your product if they do they're more likely to stay longer and if they don't don't they're just going to go uh and cancel their subscription right lead capture how are you collecting leads are you collecting their email are you are you getting follows on social media are eating the phone numbers this is super important for remarketing and reaching back out to those users who maybe didn't pay you or maybe didn't download your product again you know followers on social media is huge brand messaging is huge this all needs to be super strong and again optimize your product first make sure your product is phenomenal and people love it and then you can optimize your onboarding and then after that it's just a matter of marketing and getting as many people people into your product is possible because everything is optimized okay so now we're at phase three which is scaling and spending on paid ads the hard stuff is out of the way our product is set up everything is optimized we know that sending users to our product there's a chance that they will convert and make revenue for us and now we can start to scale the product with paid ads so we're going to go over spending on paid ads tracking everything and testing out different campaigns with different objectives now we get into the fun stuff make sure to stick around I'm going to show you exactly how we run our ad campaign so with Tik Tok we've been spending here for quite some time and this is the cheapest source of traffic for us so that's why we stopped on Facebook but I'm going to go through both and kind of explain exactly how we got to these numbers and how we became profitable so the way these paid ad platforms work is you need to feed them with data about your product so you have to spend a little money and maybe in the beginning of you spending paid ads it won't be super super profitable because the ad platforms need time to learn about your products in your audience and see which audience segment is going to make you the most money to break this down further this is where you should should be starting on your paid ads you need to start and follow each one of these steps and optimize Facebook or Tik Tok or whatever pixel you're running you need to optimize it for each one of these things one after another so you start with views or engagement what is your winning creative which creative are people spending the most time watching on these paid ads this is what you optimize for first and then you optimize for clicks are people clicking on this paid ad which ad are they clicking on which audience is clicking on these ads right you you optimize for clicks and then you optimize for installs and then you optimize for trials and then finally you optimize for subscriptions and this will take time you need to feed Facebook or you need to feed the ad platform data on each one of these individually until you get to your paying user and then by the end of that Facebook will have enough data and they'll have a big enough audience size to run your ads profitably or at least for the cheapest amount possible and again you know I'll show our Facebook ads event manager here and kind of show you exactly what this looks like so as you can see here are our Events first we have activate app which is kind of like the lowest tier event and then we have app installs right here and then we have purchases which is start trials and then we have subscriptions and as you can see as we go down this sort of funnel again this is the same as it is right here as we go down these events you can see that the the total events or the data received gets lower and lower and lower and lower so for example like if I started right here at subscriptions and I told Facebook hey you have no data on my product but I want you to find me subscribers for the cheapest amount possible it just simply won't be able to do it it's going to be super expensive for you because it hasn't run through these first and gathered all the necessary data to get to a subscription so this is exactly why you need to start from the bottom and work your way up right that's why we have each one of those campaigns optimized for each one of these individual events and once you've done all this you should have a winning campaign it's important to track everything again as you can see right here we are spending21 to purchase a subscriber that performed better than all of our other campaigns so this is the one that we’ve been scaling the most this is the one we’ve been spending the most on same for Tik Tok this is the one where we get the cheapest subscribers and again I’ll show you my LTV the LTV is 70soweareconsistentlymakingmoneyrunningthesecampaignsphasefourissupersimplekeeptrackofyouradskeeptrackofallyourmetricsyourLTVyourcustomeracquisitioncostsmakesurethatyoureconsistentlymakingmoneyandthenjustscaleyourwinnersandalwaysbetestingnewcampaignsoriginallywejuststartedrunningtraffictoUnitedStatesusersbutthenwewereabletoexpandgloballybecauseitsstillremainprofitableforusandthatgivesusalargerpoolofusersthatwecanpossiblyadvertisetosoIthinkouraudiencesizeis300millionpeoplewhichmeanswecanruntheseadsforaveryverylongtimeandstayprofitableforaveryverylongtimealwaysbetestingnewcampaignsbetestingnewdemographicsbetestinglookalikeaudiencesandkeeplookingforthosecampaignsthataregoingtodriveyoulowerandlowercustomeracquisitioncoststhisisthekeytopaytoadsandagaindontstopontheorganicmarketingeitherlikecontinuetopostorganiccontentonsocialmediabecausethisisabsolutelyfreeforyousoifyouvebeenfollowingalongonthevideoseriesyoullrecognizethatinpartoneIused99designswhichisacontestplatformwhereyoucanuploadyourdesignsforyourmobileappandyoucangetatonofsubmissionsfromdesignerstofindthebestUIforyourmobileappwhatIvebuiltherewithpostedisessentiallytheexactsamethingbutisformarketingitisforTikTokitisforContentsoyouasabrandcanuploadhowevermuchyouwant70 so we are consistently making money running these campaigns phase four is super simple keep track of your ads keep track of all your metrics your LTV your customer acquisition costs make sure that you're consistently making money and then just scale your winners and always be testing new campaigns originally we just started running traffic to United States users but then we were able to expand globally because it's still remain profitable for us and that gives us a larger pool of users that we can possibly advertise to so I think our audience size is 300 million people which means we can run these ads for a very very long time and stay profitable for a very very long time always be testing new campaigns be testing new demographics be testing lookalike audiences and keep looking for those campaigns that are going to drive you lower and lower customer acquisition costs this is the key to pay to ads and again don't stop on the organic marketing either like continue to post organic content on social media because this is absolutely free for you so if you've been following along on the video series you'll recognize that in part one I used 99 designs which is a contest platform where you can upload your designs for your mobile app and you can get a ton of submissions from designers to find the best UI for your mobile app what I've built here with posted is essentially the exact same thing but is for marketing it is for Tik Tok it is for Content so you as a brand can upload however much you want1,000 5,0005,000500 whatever you want you can upload that money into a contest and different Tik Tok creators will all submit videos in hopes of being the most viral video for your brand where they get the prize so here’s exactly how it works step one you can launch a contest for your mobile app for your brand for your SAS whatever products you have right you build a brief you can set your budget you establish rules that the creators have to follow and you set your Target demographic us wherever you want them from and then it’s very simple you sit back and watch the content flow in and then what creators will do is they will all post submission for your contest in hopes of getting the most viral video for your project so the creators will post in mass and then what you can do is you analyze and scale the top performers you can choose only the the number one Creator to get paid you can choose the top three to get paid the top five the top 10 you as the brand get to choose how much the submissions get paid and then what you can do is you can take all the best content and you can upload it to your pay ads like I said in the previous segment or you can learn from these posts learn what again this this will help you Market your research for creating organic content you can learn what these creators are doing well maybe hire one that does well in your contest and then work with them for forever whatever you want to do you can do anything and everything you want with this content and the beautiful thing is too each post each submission for your contest will have its own organic lift each one of these creators has to post this content organically on Tik Tok so there’s a chance that one of those posts could go viral and blow up uh your app your Tik Tok account right I’m telling you this platform is going to absolutely change the
